Rowing day at Bullock Point

On 22nd April 2007 Victoria and John Bishop hosted another rowing day at their wonderful waterfront home at Bullock Pt. Despite periodic showers, about 30 people enjoyed a fine lunch and gentle waters.

Victoria is now the owner of the Derwent Skiff prototype from the 2007 AWBF, and allowed several members the opportunity to try it out.

For full details, see the April 2007 Skeg.

Peter Lindsay was presented with a Terra Linna model as thanks for allowing us to keep the Terra Linna there.

We had the opportunity to look over the Terra Linna and also the Fancy, which is stored in the same shed.

Huon Show 2006

Guild members provided a display at the Huon Show at Ranalagh on Saturday 18th November 2006.

John & Victoria's Mystic, with its red sail, attracted attention to the display which also included theTeePooKana, Ainslie's Edwina and Roscoe's Bumtickle. Sharing the "wooden boats" display was the Living Boat Trust with the whaleboat Swiftsure and one of their Grebes.

The stall did a brisk trade in raffle tickets and model boat kits, raising funds for our Terra Linna restoration project.
